Car Show: The ninth annual Frank Mace Memorial Car Show will be held on Saturday, Sept, 17, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mineral County Fairgrounds in Fort Ashby.  There will be games, crafts, food, 50/50 drawing, raffles and trophies.  All proceeds go to The American Cancer Society.

Family Fun Day: The James Isaac House will host a Family Fun Day Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Keyser’s Brooks Park. Corn hole, petty zoo, vendors, games, music, silent auction and food. Proceeds benefit the James Isaac House.

Scholarship Fund Raiser: The Ryan Smith Scholarship fund raiser will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, beginning at 1 p.m. at Brooks Park in Keyser. Chicken dinners and music in the park until 4 p.m.

Jazz: The James Miltenberger Jazz Ensemble’s "Beethoven to the Beatles" is coming to the region for one show only at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Church-McKee Arts Center on the campus of Potomac State College. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door or on Eventbrite.com. Admission is free to HAU members and Potomac State College students. Area students under 18 are admitted free and young children are admitted free with a paying adult. Drug Take Back: A Drug Take Back Day and Naloxone (Narcan) training will be held Monday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Elk Garden Assembly of God. Class Reunion: The Keyser High School Class of 1967 will hold their monthly luncheon on Monday, Sept. 19, beginning at noon at Queen’s Point Coffee in Keyser. All classmates welcome.

Food Giveway: The Mountaineer Food Bank mobile food pantry will have its next stop in Elk Garden from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Elk Garden fire department.

Homecoming Parade: The Keyser High School Homecoming Parade will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, in downtown Keyser. Lineup at 6 p.m. and the parade moves at 6:30 p.m.

Making Ice Cream: Burlington Ruritan Club members will meet Thursday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m. to make ice cream for the upcoming ice cream sale. All help appreciated.

Ladies Tea: Loving Hands Outreach Center will host a “Highly Favored” Ladies Afternoon Tea Saturday, Sept. 24, from 2-5 p.m. at the Keyser Assembly of God gymnasium. All ladies of the area are invited to get dressed up in their tea party best (hats and gloves) and have some tea and fellowship. Tickets are $10 and may be reserved by calling 304-788-4145.

Convoy for Kids: The seventh annual Convoy for Kids will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, beginning at 10 a.m. at Moran’s Lounge between McCoole and Westernport. Food and drinks available from B-Rad’s PIzza. Registration starts at 10 a.m. $5 per person to get in. To participate: $20 per motorcycle or diesel truc, $40 for semi trucks (includes t-shirt).

Morning session will be 9-11 a.m. and afternoon session will be 12:30-2:30 p.m. Approximately 30 employers will be participating, and job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes. Rabies Clinic: Mineral County will hold a fall rabies clinic Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9-11 a.m. in the Tractor Supply parking lot in Keyser. Fee: $8. County tags will not be sold. Please make sure all dogs are leashed and cats restrained.

Cruise-in: The Knobley Mountain Car Club will host a cruise-in Friday, Oct. 14,from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Rainbow Lanes in Keyser. Special Street-Legal Side-by-Side invitation.

Fall Festival: Mineral County Parks and Recreation will hold its second annual Larenim Pall Festival Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Larenim Park near Burlington. Food, games, vendors, hay rides, live entertainment and more.

Halloween Party: The High School Halloween Party will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, from 7-10 p.m. at Keyser Fire Station No. 2. Open to all high school students in grades 9-12. $20 per person, which covers entry and food by Duckie’s Bar & Grill. Prizes awarded for costumes. Sponsored by Everline DJing & Entertainment.

Harvest Holiday: The Harvest Holiday Craft and Vendor Show is returning to Keyser High School this year on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crafts, vendors, food.
